Pasture's Delights' Free-Range Pastured Chicken

free-range-pastured-chicken-shelterIf you like chicken, and we mean clean, good-tasting chicken then we have what you're looking for! Pasture's Delights broilers are raised outdoors breathing fresh air and receiving fresh, green grass daily. Their feed contains NO Genetically Modified grain. For those who are sensitive to antibiotics in meat, no worries; these chickens will not be fed any feed with antibiotics!
Please click here to learn more about the differences between pasture-raised chicken and conventional chicken.

We are taking the next step in making our farm more sustainable by diversifying our animal species with pastured broilers. Broilers will help harvest some of the solar energy from our pasture. They also reduce our dependency on external inputs by fertilizing our pastures with nitrogen which helps our pastures grow more grass for the cows.

Our goal is to produce the best-tasting, most chemical free and healthiest chicken possible. The feed we purchase from SevenSons Farm near Roanoke, IN contains ingredients such as corn, bean meal, fish meal, oats, and kelp. No chemical additives, medications or steroids are used. After the chicks are 2-3 weeks old they are raised in bottomless pens on pasture and are provided a fresh supply of pasture.

Our method of raising chickens is more expensive and labor intensive than conventional methods, but the product is far superior to anything you can buy in a store. Processing is done on the farm, under sanitary and low-stress conditions, to ensure that clean, properly chilled birds are awaiting your arrival.
